Thank you for visiting Varsca. At V.A.R.S., our mission is simple, we rescue animals, particularly cats, from trees and other inaccessible places within 100 miles of Modesto, California. We also educate the public on humane animal rescue and promote animal welfare through outreach, training, and volunteer initiatives.
Every year, thousands of cats and other small animals become trapped in trees, rooftops, and unsafe spaces. Without intervention, many face serious risks. Our volunteers use specialized skills and equipment to safely retrieve animals and reunite them with their owners.
Our Retrieval Process is designed to keep animals safe while giving families peace of mind. Whether it’s a cat stranded in a tree or a small animal in a dangerous spot, our trained volunteers follow a proven step by step system to ensure every rescue is safe, efficient, and stress free. From the first call to the moment your pet is safely back in your arms.
We gather key details about the animal, location, and situation to ensure a safe and effective rescue.
We secure necessary permissions, complete waivers, plan the the rescue, and prepare our specialized climbing gear.
Our volunteer team travels to your location. On arrival, we perform a quick site inspection and confirm the best rescue approach.
Using professional climbing techniques and safety equipment, we carefully retrieve the animal and bring them back to solid ground.
Once the animal is safe, we transfer the animal to their guardian, complete equipment inspections, and sanitize our gear.
Your pet is back where they belong, safe with you. Our volunteers wrap up the mission with smiles, knowing another life has been saved.
